Alcantara is responsible for bringing Key’s high performance digital sorters, vibratory conveying solutions, and other automation systems to food processors and other manufacturers in Mexico.

“Mexico is an important market for Key, with manufacturers of fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, as well as confections, snack foods and other products, working to expand their share of the world market by elevating their product quality. Lots of food processors in Mexico are hungry for advanced technology, like our VERYX®sorters and Iso-Flo®conveyors, to improve their bottom line,” said Bret Larreau, Director of Latin America and Asia Sales at Key. “We’re delighted to have Agustin lead our efforts in Mexico. Given his experience selling high-end capital equipment, together with his focus on strategic thinking and customer service, we know he’ll thrive in his new role.”

Alcantara brings 12 years of experience selling industrial equipment to his position at Key. Most recently, he was a Sales Manager for Erwin Junker, a supplier of CNC grinding machines. Previously, he was a Sales Manager for Heller Machine Tools and, prior to that, a Sales Engineer for Makino – SST. Alcantara holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecanica y Eléctrica - Instituto Politécnico Nacional (ESIME – IPN).

“Since Key opened their sales and service office in Mexico in 2002, they’ve been developing strong customer relationships and building momentum. Last year, Key won a record number of orders in Mexico. I’m excited to join such a well-respected industry leader and bring world-class solutions to processors that want to create competitive advantages with technologies that are tailored to meet their objectives,” said Alcantara. “I like to be involved with people at all levels of an organization – from engineers on the plant floor to upper level management, everybody has something to gain when a winning solution is adopted.”
