The Coesia Group acquires MGS Machine Corporation

MGS is a leading machinery provider for the life science-pharma, food, personal care and cosmetics markets.

The Coesia Group announces the acquisition of the entire share capital of MGS Machine Corporation.

With 2017 revenues of USD 28 million, about 120 employees, headquartered in Minneapolis (Minnesota - USA), MGS Machine is a leading provider of packaging automated machinery and equipment for the life science-pharma, food, personal care and cosmetics markets.

“Thanks to this acquisition, Coesia will further consolidate its position as a leading player in the North American automated machinery market, where, post acquisition, Coesia will operate with 6 manufacturing facilities and with over 900 employees. Coesia’s global network and engineering capabilities will provide MGS Machine with an excellent growth platform”, said Angelos Papadimitriou, Coesia’s Chief Executive Officer.

Coesia is a group of innovation-based industrial and packaging solutions companies operating globally, headquartered in Bologna, Italy, fully owned by Isabella Seràgnoli.
The Group has 96 operating units (57 of which with manufacturing facilities) in 32 countries, a turnover forecast in 2017 of approximately 1,600 million Euro and about 6,800 employees.
