Colordyne announces new Industrial Class products and software

Colordyne Technologies (CDT), end-to-end color printing solution supplier, has announced several new products and software upgrades including Label Designer Pro at no additional cost, a Wasatch SoftRIP update, a new print monitor application, and an updated Windows driver (available in the second quarter of 2014).

CDT will now provide a copy of the Colordyne Label Designer Pro with each registered Industrial Class Printer Package at no additional cost. The Industrial Class printers include the CDT 1600-C Continuous Roll Digital Color Printer and the CDT 1600-S Sheet Fed Digital Color Printer. The purpose of providing the Label Designer Pro is to ensure that end users have an efficient and simple way to incorporate variable data into any color enhanced barcode product or shipping label.

The next generation of SoftRIP by Wasatch offers easy integration with the Colordyne Label Designer Pro when color management is crucial. The update now requires the user to only navigate Label Designer Pro while the SoftRIP operates as a background task. This change in direction offers end users the ability to produce thousands of labels while SoftRIP overlays its color management controls.

CDT is offering a new print monitor application for improved management of its Industrial Class printers. This new application provides considerably more information to the user while also replacing the legacy Tool Box. Functions include drop counts, job costing, system status, and printer maintenance. This new print monitor application will be shipped with every Industrial Class Printer Package at no additional cost.

In the second quarter of 2014, CDT will conclude its development of the companion Windows driver for its Industrial Class product line. The advantage of the second-generation driver will be improved communication between the Label Designer Pro, helping to make the design and production tasks trouble-free for end users. Moving forward, end users will look at the Label Designer Pro as the dashboard for management of all printing functions.
