Leuze electronic has introduced the durable 53 and 55 (shown) Series Stainless Steel Sensors, specifically designed for strict hygienic applications such as the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries.

Sensors feature an innovative washdown design that is resistant to common cleaning agents and operational controls, which, in addition to the gap-free construction of the sensors, prevents bacterial carryovers. Fastening concept ensures an airtight connection between sensor and machine. Sensors are not only tested for Ecolab, but also Ecolab+, which has increased temperatures, additional cleaning products, and additional cleaning agents for the pharmaceuticals test.
