U.S. packaging machinery exports rise

U.S. exports of packaging machinery are up 6.37% from a year ago, totaling $428 million.

The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute has announced that U.S. exports of packaging machinery are up 6.37% from a year ago, totaling $428 million.

The U.S. Census Trade Statistics indicate U.S. imports for packaging machinery are slightly down from June 2005.
PMMI reports the increase in exports for its U.S. members is due to their global reputation for producing safe, flexible, and cost-effective packaging machinery.

"Machinery purchasers recognize the inherent value of working with PMMI member companies to strengthen existing operations," says Charles Yuska, president and CEO, PMMI. "Our members deliver innovative and valuable packaging solution such as incorporating line integration and developing new technologies to increase efficiency and productivity."
