The CX20 Series of miniature sensors from SUNX (W. Des Moines, IA) is an economical alternative to the CX Series of sensors. IP67 rated, they operate at 12 to 24 VDC and are self-contained.

Available with either sensing (NPN) or sourcing (PNP) output. Thru-beam mode has a 10-m (.93') range; retro-reflective mode offers a 5-m (.47') sensing range; and a polarized mode has a 3-m (.28') range. The unit measures 31 x 20 x 12 mm (1.22" x .78" x .47" D).
