Designed for packaging heavy medical equipment and frozen products, Pentamed® MD- EK10R00 films have a high glass-transition temperature which allows for heat resistance that slows aging and speeds validation and sterilization. The films have slower aging properties and, therefore, increased shelf life. For every 10°C increase in EtO chamber temperature, sterilization time can be reduced by half resulting in substantial cost savings for large volume OEMs. Due to the toughness of this film, the redesign of packaging to reduce material usage through downgauging or lightweighting is possible as is the need for secondary packaging.
