UPM Raflatac announces the qualification of a wide range of paper and film labelstocks for iSys Label’s LED toner-based digital label printers. To date, UPM Raflatac has qualified more than 40 products for both the APEX 1290 press and the EDGE 850 desktop label printer and expects to qualify additional products as its print-on-demand product portfolio expands in the Americas.

UPM Raflatac’s qualified LED toner-based product offering can be used in a variety of print-on-demand applications and end-uses, including roll-to-sheet/VIP labeling; health and beauty and industrial chemical labeling; and retail information and wine labeling. These paper and film labelstocks have been carefully selected to provide the highest-quality resolution when printed on LED toner-based printers.

iSys Label digital printers utilize LED toner technology to produce crisp, high-quality images for short and medium-sized tag and label jobs. These digital label presses provide users the ability to print variable information on die cut or roll substrates at speeds of up to 30 ft/min. The value-conscious APEX 1290 offers rapid changeover and workflow capabilities, enabling users to run more jobs each day, while the EDGE 850 allows PC users the ability to setup and print label jobs right at their desktop.
