Today at Interphex in New York City (May 2, 2012) Bosch Packaging Technology announced the acquisition of Eisai Machinery Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo, maker of inspection technology for liquid and solid pharmaceuticals.

Eisai has an install base of more than 1,000 machines worldwide, from basic inspection to fully-automated systems inspecting vials, ampoules, syringes, and tablets.
