The PMMI Foundation, the charitable arm of PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, is proud to announce that Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, will once again serve as the Foundation’s Visionary Benefactor, the highest level of support, for the second consecutive year.

Schneider Electric’s continued support as Visionary Benefactor helps the PMMI Foundation expand its mission to attract, develop, and retain the next generation of talent for the packaging and processing industry. Through scholarships, educational programs, student travel assistance, and hands-on learning opportunities, the Foundation connects students with meaningful career pathways in manufacturing, automation, and engineering.

As workforce shortages continue to impact manufacturing, industry partnerships play a critical role in helping introduce students to careers in packaging, processing, automation, and advanced manufacturing.

“Industry partnerships like this are essential to preparing the future workforce,” says Kate Torrence, director, workforce development, PMMI. “Schneider Electric’s continued leadership as our Visionary Benefactor allows us to expand opportunities for students and introduce more young people to the rewarding careers available in packaging and processing.”

“Developing the next generation of skilled professionals is vital to the continued innovation and growth of our industry,” says Jim Pittas, president & CEO, PMMI, “Schneider Electric’s continued support as the PMMI Foundation’s Visionary Benefactor demonstrates a shared commitment to strengthening the future workforce. By investing in education, hands-on learning experiences, and career awareness initiatives, partners like Schneider Electric help ensure students gain the skills and inspiration needed to pursue meaningful careers in packaging, processing, and advanced manufacturing.”

“At Schneider Electric, we believe that building a sustainable future starts with investing in the people who will lead it,” says Andre Marino, SVP, Industrial Automation, North America, Schneider Electric. “As a global energy technology partner, we are proud to support the PMMI Foundation’s mission to prepare the next generation for careers that drive innovation in energy efficiency, automation, and sustainable manufacturing.”

With support from partners like Schneider Electric, the PMMI Foundation continues to expand programs that introduce students to the industry, provide hands-on learning experiences, and strengthen the talent pipeline for manufacturers across North America.
