The craft business unit of Anheuser-Busch, Brewers Collective, has entered into a partnership with TerraCycle to promote the proper recycling of personal protective equipment (PPE). In accordance with the agreement, the collective has installed TerraCycle zero-waste boxes, intended for single-use masks and gloves, at 18 U.S. craft breweries. Once the boxes are filled, they will be returned to TerraCycle, where the PPE will be cleaned, melted, and processed into a raw material that can be used to make new products.

The collective also will be promoting broader community awareness of proper PPE recycling via its “Pints for PPE” efforts, through which incentives, such as gift cards or merchandise, will be given to consumers who bring their used PPE into local participating brewpubs.
