Over the next year, federal representatives will visit all 50 states and meet with state officials and those from all sectors of the food supply chain to identify possible vulnerabilities and to improve security from “farm to table.”
Public-private partnership to fight food terrorism
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, FDA, the Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI have formed the Strategic Partnership Program Agroterrorism Initiative and will work closely with their counterparts at the state level and with private industry to defend the U.S. food supply from terrorism.
