Senator Charles Schumer of New York has proposed new legislation that would put a nationwide ban on bisphenol A (BPA) in all food packaging products used by children.

According to foodproductiondaily.com, the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in any food packaging to be used by children would be banned under new legislation proposed by Senator Charles Schumer of New York. Schumer points to mounting evidence that BPA is harmful and should be kept out of the food chain.
