In UK: Fizzy drinks to the rescue...

In the UK, Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Britvic have been developing "space-age" carbonated beverages to inject a little pop into declining growth.

One innovation is the "turbo-fizz dial," which lets consumers dial up or down the amount of carbonation in their drink. Drinks that change color are also being developed. These inter-active beverages will provide an "experience" that will compete with other beverages such as fruit juices and smoothies, bottled water and "functional" drinks.
