Muslim outrage over cartoons hurts Danish Dairy Arla....

A Muslim Middle East boycott of Danish goods following publication of twelve cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed has hurt many global suppliers.

Particularly hard hit is Arla, a packaging line integration innovator we have covered in Packaging World magazine. Ranked sixth largest dairy firm in Africa and the Middle East, Arla has had to lay off more than one-hundred employees. Danone and Nestle' poised to take $440 million in market share.
