France bans plastic packaging...

The French Assembly has unanimously voted through legislation banning the sale and distribution of all plastics bags and plastics packaging from 2010, unless they are biodegradable. The plastics industry in Fance was taken by surprise as the legislation was introduced unannounced during a debate on agricultural issues.
