Machine counts up to 40ꯠ tablets/min and is more compact, flexible, and simple to set up than other tablet/capsule counting machines, company says. Technology is available on the DT Merrill 72-39HY filler and is configured to work with standard Lakso/Merrill slat spacings so that customers can use existing slats. System uses local processors for high-speed communication and decision-making. It scans each tablet/capsule thousands of times per second. It compares the image of each tablet/capsule against a stored profile in the product and counts those that match the profile as they fall between the slat and the bottle. Machine can be programmed to store 100 different product profiles.
