A December 8th Pharma’s Almanac article noted that Vetter Pharma is expanding its German packaging facility in order to service the increasing demand for complex packaging solutions. Bernd Stauss, Vetter’s Senior Vice President of Production and Engineering, noted that contract packaging service providers are in high demand due to the increased number of complex compounds in development.

Vetter is stepping up to the plate with a 32,000 sqft expansion of its secondary packaging facility in Ravensburg, Germany. The project, which will be completed within the next three years, will include fully-automated packaging lines, room for manual and semi-automated packaging processes, and assembly equipment for a variety of formats.
