According to Ball Packaging Europe, energy beverages are booming in Europe. The company announced that functional food producer ActivLab is now using Ball’s 25-cL slim can for its Fit Drink beverages.

Fit Drink is designed to support fat burning with L-Carnitine and its improved formula supports weight loss in three areas: burning calories, metabolism and blocking the appetite.
A Ball press release says, “No industry has seen such rapid growth as the health market. Consumers increasingly make a conscious choice in favor of healthy alternatives. Calorie-reduced, high-nutrient soft drinks are likewise a must for people on the go. To serve this need, Fit Drink--previously only sold in powder form for mixing with still mineral water--is now available ready to drink in a portable and convenient can.”

The can’s slim profile and light weight makes it easy for consumers to carry and take with them on the go. “And because cans are unbreakable, they are the ideal packaging choice for people with an active lifestyle,” says Ball.ActivLab’s Web site notes, “ActivLab Drink Fit “is a new, enhanced and innovative formula up to 20 components with proven activity… for people who want to quickly reduce body weight, getting rid of extra pounds.”

ActivLab Sports Nutrition is a brand of Regis, Ltd., a company involved in food technologies and ingredients for foods, sports nutrition, nutritional supplements, and healthy foods and beverages.
