Earlier this summer, the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute unveiled the second generation of its Pack Expo web site, www.packexpo.com. In addition to simplifying registration for Pack Expo 98, the web site provides far more information and features that are useful to packagers, whether or not they can attend the show. Through the use of the site's search engine, visitors can easily research PMMI's database of exhibitor product offerings to help them plan their time at the show, or to identify the companies that may provide the types of machinery, materials, components and services they may want more information about. Visitors can also place hotel reservations and develop customized show "roadmaps." "PMMI's new web site is the easiest way for attendees to plan for the show," says Charles D. Yuska, PMMI president. "With more than fifteen hundred exhibitors spread over 1.2 million net square feet, pre-planning is vital to any company's successful Pack Expo 98 strategy. Our new site demonstrates PMMI's continuing commitment to provide the most comprehensive, highly-interactive, on-line information resource in the trade show business." The site also contains event information like press releases, exhibitor lists, on-site programs and services' and general show information.
