This Web-based survey, which drew 255 qualified responses from packaging end users, was conducted on Packworld.com in May-June 2003. Most participants work in production or plant management, though a mix of
people with other reponsibilities responded. Industries in descending order of representation included food, industrial products, nonfood consumer products, and others. They work at a cross-section of small, medium, and large companies (42% were from companies of more than 500 employees from throughout the United States, plus 6% foreign countries).
