Constantia Flexibles: Reclosable composite closure for flexible packages

Innovative ReLap presents reclose solution for more convenience in flexible packaging.

ReLap is the newest Constantia Flexibles reclose solution, fulfilling the latest market and consumer demands in flexible packaging. The combination of different technologies such as lasers, partial laminating, and the application of coatings enables novel composite structures for ReLap.

The intuitive reclose function works after the consumer peels away a strip of material and a sticky surface is revealed. That surface enables multiple open and reclose cycles for consumer convenience and prolonged storage.

ReLap is an “add-on” reclose feature that does not require extensive machine modification and does not have a large impact on packaging machine efficiency. The result for the consumer is a pouch with a convenient approach, including a fast and easy reclose. On top of that, the ReLap concept is another step towards improved sustainability of packaging systems, and therefore adds value to brand owners’ products.
