Lachenmeier Inc: Lachenmeier Inc: Shrink-hood film for pallets

ExxonMobil Chemical’s Nexxstar™ resin is designed for coextruded stretch-hood films for pallets. It’s said to offer cost benefits, good toughness, and great clarity for end-of-line packaging applications.

Though the material was developed in close cooperation and with the assistance of Lachenmeier, a manufacturer of end-of-line stretch hooding equipment, ExxonMobil Chemical films made of its Nexxstar material can be applied by stretch-hood systems made by companies other than Lachenmeier. ExxonMobil says material cost savings of up to 30% can be gained because the same holding force can be obtained while down-gauging the film structure.
