Stora Enso’s Specialty Papers Group has become a supporting member of the Center for Flexible Packaging (CEFPACK) at Clemson University, Clemson, SC.

CEFPACK opened last October (see packworld.com/go/c136) as a research center within the university’s Department of Packaging Science. CEFPACK offers services to members for developing, evaluating, and applying advanced flexible packaging materials in new packaging applications.

“We are bringing together key industry members who are dedicated to developing better flexible packaging solutions,” says Dr. Robert Kimmel, CEFPACK’s director. “We are pleased that Stora Enso shares our vision of innovation.”

David Diekelman, Stora Enso’s business development manager, says, “Our participation in CEFPACK gives us the best opportunity to create innovative paper-based materials that will serve the growing needs of this changing market.”
