Since then, there has been growing consumer acceptance of this packaging format in all Spanish and Portuguese distribution channels. The company is planning introduction of other mini-cookie varieties, including chocolate biscuits, in the PP cups.

Supplied by EDV Packaging, the PP cups are sealed with flexible membrane lidding film that provides barrier properties to protect cookie freshness for an estimated 12 months. Oriented polystyrene, gravure-printed sleeve labels are supplied by Sleever International S.A. The injection-molded plastic, recloseable overcaps come from Procap Llagostera. —Judy Rice
