Gold All-Pak, Inc. (Bridgeville, PA) developed an easy-to-use, easy-to-store, recyclable HDPE container for Agway Fertilizer Line from Agway, Inc., of Syracuse, NY. The container can stand up to inclement weather in outdoor displays, a must in Agway's list of critical criteria. The 110-mm dispensing closure and easily gripped handle on the bottle make this package convenient to use. An aggressive adhesive on the label and UV coating protect the package from the elements in outdoor displays. Silver Z-Lex Carpet Stain Eliminator is the name for this product from DuPont Nylon Flooring of Kennesaw, GA. The company selected a 32-oz HDPE bottle from Zuckerman-Honickman for its package. Significant effort was used to match the silver in the bottle with the silver in the PP trigger sprayer. The shape of the bottle is highly ergonomic when the sprayer is put to use. Also, the sprayer has a special nozzle that produces a foam, the ideal way to apply this product. Bronze Kaufman Container Co. (Cleveland, OH) won bronze for 32- and 64-oz custom HDPE handled oblong bottles used by Lime-O-Sol of Ashley, IN, for The Works drain opener. An in-mold label provides a pleasing package appearance. A five-cavity mold was built for the 32-oz bottle and a three-cavity mold for the 64-oz size. Lime-O-Sol management is said to be pleased with the new containers, which replace a 32-oz HDPE cylinder with a heat transfer label and a standard 64-oz F-style container.
