Machinery demand growing

Ongoing economic recovery and expansion in the Asia/Pacific and Latin America regions will fuel worldwide demand for packaging machinery, according to “World Packaging Machinery,” a new study from The Freedonia Group, a Cleveland-based industrial market research firm.

Machinery demand is projected to rise 5.3% annually through 2005 to $29 billion. The 317-page study is available for $4길. Separately, Freedonia’s “Converted Flexible Packaging” study forecasts converted flexible packaging demand in the U.S. to increase 2.2% per year to 7.5 billion lb in 2005, with a value of $14.5 billion. This 238-page study is available for $3꺜. For more details on both studies, call Corinne Gangloff at 440/684-9600, or visit www.freedoniagroup.com.
