Phosphorescent decoration

To celebrate the “Festival du Film de Paris” this year, the French Champagne house Pierrel released a limited-edition bottle decorated with a phosphorescent shrink-sleeve label from Sleever Intl.

(Paris, France). The label for the bottle was designed with UV inks and an outer “soft touch” varnish to reflect an intense blue color when exposed to the black light in nightclubs, revealing the graphic richness of the design. Dressed from the top to the bottom in a 100-micron 3.93-mil polyester shrink sleeve, the 750-ml glass bottle appears pearly. The shrink-sleeve applicator called Powerskinner, also from Sleever, ensures the label is applied so that it appears as a “second skin” on the bottle. —ALR
