FOX IV Technologies, a long-time innovator in automated labeling, is unveiling two new print-and-apply systems—expanding their labeling range in both small-format and wide-format industrial labeling.

The new 5961 Compact Label Print & Apply and 8008 Wide Label Print & Apply systems are engineered to meet the evolving identification needs of material handling, packaging, warehousing, and industrial operations. Together, they bookend the labeling spectrum: one built for tight spaces and small labels, the other designed for oversized, high-impact applications.

5961 Compact Label Print & Apply: Big Capability in a Small Footprint

Designed for space-restricted environments and low-to-medium throughput operations, the FOX IV 5961 delivers the full functionality of a larger print-and-apply system in a streamlined, compact frame. It handles an impressive range of label sizes—from 0.79" × 0.5" up to 4" × 8"—making it ideal for precise product labeling, compliance labeling, and shipping applications.

The 5961 integrates Zebra ZE511 print technology, offers 203, 300, or 600 dpi resolution, and supports a 12" OD label roll. Its Allen-Bradley PLC, color touchscreen HMI, and easy-maintenance design make it production-friendly for operators and integrators alike.

“The 5961 brings big capability to a compact footprint,” notes FOX IV’s product team. “It’s built for operations that need accuracy and flexibility without giving up valuable line space.”

Key Features:

•       Compact footprint for tight production areas

•       Small-label print-and-apply capability

•       Zebra print engine (203/300/600 dpi)

•       Up to 4.09" print width

•       12" OD label roll capacity

•       Electric or pneumatic applicator options

•       Allen-Bradley PLC + color HMI

•       Easy maintenance and integration

Fox IV's 8008 Wide Label Print & ApplyFox IV's 8008 Wide Label Print & ApplyFox IV8008 Wide Label Print & Apply: Built for the Biggest Labeling Challenges:

When applications demand labels wider than 6", the FOX IV 8008 steps in with industrial-grade power and precision. Purpose-built for drums, pails, barrels, pallets, and large-format packaging, the 8008 prints and applies labels up to 8.75" wide with a crisp 8.5" print width.

Powered by TSC/Printronix print technology, the 8008 offers 203 or 300 dpi resolution and supports multiple printer language emulations—including Zebra ZPL and SATO SBPL—making it easy to drop into existing workflows.

With a 14" OD label roll capacity, robust construction, and a selection of application methods (including tamp, tamp-roll, rotary actuator, and vacuum belt), the 8008 is engineered for demanding industrial environments.

“The 8008 is designed for operations where a standard label simply won’t cut it,” says FOX IV. “It brings wide-format labeling muscle to applications that require bold, compliant, and highly visible identification.”

Key Features:

•       Prints and applies labels up to 8.75" wide

•       8.5" print width

•       TSC/Printronix print engine (203/300 dpi)

•       Emulates major printer languages for seamless integration

•       Large-capacity label roll (up to 14" OD)

•       Allen-Bradley PLC + color touchscreen HMI
