Matrox Imaging announced the launch of its Matrox Vision Academy website, which details available courses.

BW Papersystems became a corporate partner of The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF).

Canada-based TC Transcontinental joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Global Commitment. Also, Magali Depras was appointed Chief Strategy Officer and Alex Hayden was named Senior Vice President, R&D, Innovation and Sustainability.

Dow is helping to create jobs and reduce plastic pollution in South Africa through its social initiative, Project Butterfly.

Colbert Packaging Corp. announced its commitment to environmental stewardship through the purchase of renewable energy credits (RECs) in the form of wind energy.

Formost Fuji celebrated its 55th anniversary this year.

Liqui-Box acquired DS Smith plc’s Plastics Division, which includes the Rapak and Worldwide Dispenser businesses.

Golden West Packaging Group acquired Allpak Container, LLC.

PPC Flexible Packaging opened a manufacturing plant in Bogota, Colombia for its horticulture business. Also, it acquired its G7 certification.

People

Mike Newcome was promoted to Vice President of Sales for JLS Automation.

Crain’s Chicago Business named Nancy Wilson, CEO, Morrison Container Handling Solutions, its 2019 Notable Woman in Manufacturing.

Tatiana Liceti was appointed Vice President of Tetra Pak North, Central, and South America.

FPA announced its Board of Directors: Curt Begle, Berry Global, Chairperson of the Board; David Staker, Plastic Packaging Technologies, LLC; and Guenther Herring, Henkel Corp., Treasurer. Also announced were the winners of FPA’s Student Flexible Design Challenge: First Place went to Maria Brownell and Melea Bruns, University of Visconsin-Stout; and Second Place went to Tanay Prabhu, San José State University.

Fausto Savazzi was hired as Vice President, BW Integrated Systems.

E-Pak Machinery hired Jared Scarborough as Regional Sales manager, Southeast; and named Krys Beal West Coast Sales Co-Manager.

Kevin Barker was appointed President of Beckhoff Automation LLC.

Rob van Gilse joined Starview Packaging Machinery, Inc. as Director of Sales & Marketing.

Kevin Thompson was named Regional Sales Manager, South-Central U.S. for Uhlmann Packaging Systems.

Thurman Melson was appointed President of Hamer-Fischbein.

Redimark added Jim Vineyard its Customer Service team as Customer Success Lead.
