Live From Interphex: Carton printing track and trace module
The Bosch CPS800 is a carton printing system module, which consists of a print and a camera to automatically print and verify up to 400 cartons per minute. Tracking data is printed onto the product and automatically checked for accuracy by the camera with reads each printed digit. Within milliseconds it compares the human-readable text with the 2D data matrix code and verifies it for accuracy.

Vaisala introduces the Vaisala Cold Chain logger CCL 100. A new logger which records and monitors time and temperature during the transport of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, biologics, and other perishable products. It's thin, and small, and it comes pre-calibrated and programmed. Provides 21 CFR Part 11-compliant records for temperature, relative humidity, differential pressure, level, door switches, and more.

Live from Interphex: Labeling machine for unstable pharma containers
The Monostar Pharma labeler from Capmatic labels small products such as vials, syringes, and ampoules. The track-and-trace capabilities require the removal of a faulty label before it's applied onto the container. This prevents destruction of the entire product due to a labeling error, which can be quite costly.

TMG makes case packers and palletizers for rigid bottles. At IPACK IMA in Milan, Italy, TMG introduced the Sirio 2S high level palletizer, capable of handling up to 6,000 bundles per hour. A dynamic manipulation and pre-formation system forms layers without stopping the movement of bundles.

'Breakthrough' pasteurization technology for chilled ready meals
At Anuga FoodTec, Hakan Pettersson, managing director of MicVac, describes what he calls a “breakthrough innovation technology” for chilled ready meals. The MicVac process allows raw or partially pre-cooked ingredients to be microwave-pasteurized in-pack. The process is said to allow for greater product quality, color, taste, texture, vitamin content, and shelf life.
