Packaging Recycling Summit Set for California

Connect and collaborate across every segment of the circular supply chain at Packaging World's Packaging Recycling Summit at the JW Marriott in Anaheim September 16-18, 2024.

Pw Packaging Recycling Summit

After a successful debut in Atlanta last fall, Packaging Worldโ€™s Packaging Recycling Summit (PRS) will return this year to Anaheim, California. The JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort will host the 2024 event, from September 16-18, bringing together brands, retailers, packaging suppliers, reprocessors, and material recovery facilities (MRFs). With a goal of promoting collaboration across the circular supply chain, the conference program will examine all links in the value chain, identifying materials that can and will be recycled, and exploring end-use markets for waste.

Nearly 400 packaging professionals attended the 2023 Packaging Recycling Summit in person and online. Attendee feedback underscored the value of bringing multiple stakeholders under one roof.

โ€œWith PRS, our goal is to help brands transform themselves from passive producers of theoretically recyclable waste into active participants in a circular economy,โ€ explained Matt Reynolds, editor, Packaging World. โ€œBy understanding the unique realities and motivations at each segment of the value chain, CPGs can unlock a profitable circular economy that benefits all stakeholders. Every link in the chain must derive economic value for this concept to succeed.โ€

The Packaging Recycling Summit is produced with the expertise of Packaging World editors and a robust advisory board. This yearโ€™s program is being built with an eye to ongoing and trending issues, such as sustainable package design, including reducing the climate impact, incorporating PCR and fine-tuning design through MRF collaboration; a look at the pros and cons of various material choices; changing consumer behavior; updates on state regulations and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR); and creating end markets for recycled content.

Concludes Reynolds, โ€œWe expect our Anaheim event will again bring together dedicated professionals who are intent on creating more resilient and sustainable supply chains to benefit both their bottom line and the planet. Weโ€™re looking forward to an impactful three days!โ€

Registration is now open for the 2024 Packaging Recycling Summit. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are also available.
