Understanding these necessities of the market and of the environment at a very early stage, BERICAP developed and introduced closure systems with optimized functionalities, not compromising on safety features and supporting at the same time the global target to minimize CO2 emission (greenhouse effect) by saving non-renewable resources through light weighting of packaging.

As executed already for flat closures, BERICAP has developed also light weight variants for its Sports Caps known as PUSH PULL, a 3-piece closure type and THUMB’UP®, a 2-piece closure which can be opened with one hand by the end consumer. The closures suit current neck finishes from 26,7 to 38 mm, but also do fit to the new light weight neck finish generation such as 26mm, 28 mm (PCO 1881) and 29/25.

The 1881 PUSH PULL Sports Cap of BERICAP convinces due to its weight reduced, light design not compromising on most effective functional attributes including tamper evidence, high flow rates and comfort to drink. Furthermore BERICAP is known as a party contributing significant application experience by having converted major CSD businesses in Europe to PCO 1881 neck finish already before, thanks to its advanced Technical Service network.

Since the end of 2008, a leading national brand started to convert its plants from standard PCO 1810 to the new short neck PCO 1881 and started at the same time using the 1881 PUSH PULL Sports Cap of BERICAP.

BERICAP’s 1881 PUSH PULL Sports Closure is performing to full satisfaction in the US market.
