CompaniesNorwood Marking Systems/Allen Coding Systems announced the formation of a distributor agreement between ITW Ltd.  and Allen Codiergeräte GmbH. The agreement gives the ITW companies exclusive rights to distribute the coding and marking equipment designed and manufactured by Germany-based Allen Codiergeräte to all the regions of the world not served by Allen Codiergeräte.

NJM/CLI Packaging Systems Intl.opened a liaison office in Mumbai, India, to cover the regions of Asia, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. V. Krishnamoorthy will manage the office.


Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. received a U.S. Patent for its overvoltage suppression technique for variable frequency drives operating reciprocating loads.

Dow Chemical Co. acquired Germany-based Wolff Walsrode from the Bayer Group.

Nordson’s Partnership+Plus program allows packagers to acquire new Nordson adhesive dispensing equipment for a small monthly fee, eliminating the upfront capital expense.

Pro Mach’s ID Technology division acquired Markor Marking and Labeling Systems, a provider of identification products and services throughout western North America.

Cryotech Intl., Inc. announced the expansion of its Customer Product Testing program, which allows customers to send in samples for either pressurization or inerting with Cryotech’s liquid nitrogen LN2 dosing systems.

Georgia-Pacific’s packaging operations earned the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification and are authorized to use the SFI Certified Sourcing product label.

FlexLink Systems opened sales and application offices in Greenville, SC and Phoenix, AZ, and expanded its Dallas, TX, facility.

TricorBraun acquired Ryco Packaging Corp.

Rockwell Automation, Inc. reached an agreement to acquire Industrial Control Services Group Ltd., Maldon, U.K.
