Specially suited for soft-gel products, films provided excellent slip characteristics (low coefficient-of-friction) as compared to standard PVdC coated film for higher packaging line productivity and yield. Available in two-layer (PVC/PVdC) or three-layer (PVC/PE/PVdC) structures for medium to high moisture barrier, films have better thermoforming properties as compared to conventional PVdC-coated films. They prevent blocking on pre-heat plates and offer a more consistent material flow during the thermoforming process. No modifications are required for pre-heat plates. Improved mold and blister-to-blister denest properties allow for higher filling rates for gel caps and other pharmaceuticals.
