CVC Technologies, Inc. is moving into their new, larger headquarters and warehouse which will allow them to better manage their sales and service throughout the entire world. This new building is reportedly 3-1/2 times larger then their previous location. CVC Sales, Service and Demonstration offices are located in Southern California and New Jersey. Additional branch offices are in Russia, Taiwan, China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and upcoming in Brazil and Mexico.

CVC’s network of Dealerships are located throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. This creates a significant manufacturing volume which is necessary for economical production. Add this high sales volume with the low overhead costs of off-shore (ISO 9002) manufacturing, and it has created what they refer to as “CVC’s Pricing Philosophy”. This simply means that they are able to take lower profit margins on each machine (based on high volume manufacturing), and pass the savings on to their customer. Also, with a world-wide inventory of hundreds of machines, it provides their customers around the globe with fast delivery at prices far below those of their competition.

CVC says that through years of research, their engineers have perfected many exclusive, patented programming systems that have been built into every CVC system at no additional cost. Some of these features includes the use of Stepper or Servo Motors, automatic counters, a 50 job memory, micro-processors, label placement accuracy up to ±1/32” and their exclusive labeling programming called SelfSet™. This is reported to be the most automatic and simplest labeler set-up in use today. The operator simply presses a button or touches a screen and all the delicate electronic adjustments, that are necessary for smooth performance, are instantly set up. It also stores up to 50 settings in the computer’s memory.

Recently, CVC introduced The “Hawk™” labeler. This Servo-motor labeler is reported to be the world’s most intelligent, factory made, wrap labeler. In addition to bar code verification, it is also equipped to detect and reject bottles with missing codes, incorrect labels, no labels, and wrong size bottles. It can be programmed to sound an alarm, stop the system or reject the product.

It is reported that one of the primary users of CVC Systems is the Pharmaceutical Industry. CVC manufactures a wide range of packaging equipment to specifically meet this industry’s needs. These include: Bottle Unscramblers, Desiccant Inserters, Tablet/Capsule Counters, Fillers, Cottoners, Capping Systems, Labelers, Induction Sealers, Cap Seal Banders and Cartoners.

CVC states that their new model CVC-1220, “Challenger” Tablet counter (Co-manufactured by CVC & Cremer) is available with 100% accuracy for counting and filling all standard or irregular shaped products, plus it will handle all sizes of tablets, capsules, caplets, soft gels, and many other products.

Because the CVC systems are so automatic in their operation, CVC assures us that only moderate operating skills are required for normal production lines. However, skilled factory trained technicians are readily available as needed.
