Convenience strikes again at Dutch Boy

Hot on the heels of its revolutionary Twist & Pour plastic 1-gal and 1-qt paint containers, Sherwin-Williams Co. is now introducing another plastics-driven innovation in its Dutch Boy paint line: the Ready to Roll “project-sized” paint container.

Featuring a built-in roller tray and a lid that’s a snap to open and close, the container eliminates having to pour paint into a tray, providing for time savings and an overall cleaner project, says Adam Chafe, Dutch Boy vice president of marketing.

“Our consumer research found that when it came to painting, the Ready to Roll paint container was far neater and easier to use, easier to transport, easier to open and close, and more secure for storage than any of the other project-sized alternatives: five- or three-gallon buckets, or separate one-gallon metal paint cans. We’ve provided a package that makes any painting project simple and without all the mess,” says Chafe.

The container holds 2.5 gal of paint and retails for $36 to $46, depending on the grade of paint. Additional information about packaging materials, relative costs, and specs was not available.
