The EP7 is user programmable using three soft keys on the front cover.  Programmable parameters consist of:  any reduction ratio or screw pitch; decimal placement; counting direction; linear or angular display; metric or inch values; function settings (reset/preset; absolute/relative value; offset, etc.); keypad enable/lockout.

The LCD display consists of a 7.5mm digit height, which has a display range of-99999 to +99999.  The ergonomic shape of the indicator body protects the display.  The indicator, which is powered by a commercially-available 1/2AA battery with a four-year life, provides ample notification of battery replacement.  The battery may be replaced without loss of current position or program.

The mounting pattern follows a standard that is directly interchangeable with other Fiama mechanical indicators as well as other manufacturer versions.  Available in bore construction of stainless steel in metric or inch sizes, an assortment of complimentary reduction bushings, and molded in optional body colors.  Accessories include spacer flanges and locking plates.
