Federal Mfg.’s new Pewaukee, WI, facility nears completion

With the goal of streamlining and revamping its manufacture of liquid filling technology, Federal Mfg., powered by Pro Mach, will move office personnel from the company’s Walker’s Point neighborhood plant in Milwaukee to its new 78,000-sq-ft headquarters and manufacturing facility in Pewaukee, WI, on August 25, and will complete the move of all manufacturing personnel and equipment to the new building on or before October 31, 2014.

Federal Mfg. has been designing and manufacturing liquid filling and capping machines for the dairy, juice, specialty drink, chemical, coatings, and pharmaceutical industries in Milwaukee for the past 65 years. With national and international sales growing and the need for more space and a revamped and streamlined manufacturing process paramount, parent company Pro Mach invested in the design and construction of the facility.

At the new facility, which is located in the RidgeView Corporate Park, raw materials will enter the plant at one end and finished filling machines will be shipped to customers at the other. The new plant has approximately 33% more space and an improved floor plan, allowing Federal Mfg. to more effectively integrate filling machines with associated equipment, primarily from sister divisions Zalkin and Fowler Products, and to perform factory acceptance testing of complete rinsing, filling, and capping systems.

Federal Mfg.’s telephone numbers will remain the same.
