Axion was challenged to create a name, a brandmark, and a package that would have maximum impact and drive high volume sales in the specialty food category. The brandmark, which suggests indulgent flavor, along with the package itself symbolizes sophisticated fun. The gussetted stand-up pouch is constructed of metallized film decorated with simple graphics that depict a chef. The design represents the hand-mixed, slow-cooked care that goes into the creation of this treat. Spoonfuls of pouring chocolate and peanut butter help make the snack even more irresistible. Flavors include Chocolate Butter Toffee Popcorn and Peanut Butter Toffee Popcorn. The snack is distributed through specialty retailers and select major grocery store chains. More than 7ꯠ design efforts, representing 40 states and 31 countries, were entered in the “Creativity 31” competition.
