PPG announces the appointment of Meghan Barrera as global strategic marketing director, Packaging Coatings. Barrera will lead the global marketing strategy for PPG’s Packaging Coatings business.
In this role, Barrera is responsible for driving global segment growth, increasing market penetration and enhancing competitive positioning. She will lead a team to oversee market trend analysis, product innovation and packaging advancements.
“Meghan brings a strong track record of growth, cross-segment leadership and technical expertise to our business and customers,” said Denise Lu, PPG vice president, Packaging Coatings. “Her strategic vision and customer-focused mindset will be essential in guiding our global efforts and delivering innovative solutions to our partners.”
Barrera brings more than two decades of experience with PPG across multiple business segments. Most recently, she served as PPG business director, Allied Products, Automotive Refinish, where she led the launch of five new product categories and drove significant growth in the U.S. and Canada. She has also held positions in PPG’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) department, and its Automotive OEM Coatings and Protective and Marine Coatings businesses.
Barrera holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
