Food Fraud Overview MOOC

Register now for Michigan State University’s next Food Fraud Overview MOOC (Massive Open Online Course).

 

This is an update to MSU’s last Food Fraud Overview MOOC in May and consists of two free, live training webinars offered by MSU's Food Fraud Initiative. It is open to all interested parties around the globe.  The instructor for both webinars is Dr. John Spink. The free webinar is available November 12, 8:00-10:00 a.m. Eastern Time and again on November 19, 8:00-10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Register at http://foodfraud.msu.edu/mooc/

Online content will be open November 5 through November 26.  This includes readings, videos and discussion boards.  MSU will have instructors engaging in these activities.  Participants who successfully complete the course and assessment will receive an MSU MOOC Credential – this is a first step in the hierarchy of Food Fraud training and education.

Food Fraud (the use of food to commit fraud such as the horse meat scandal) is an important emerging threat. MSU’s first Food Fraud Overview MOOC over 800 participants from 48 countries.
