PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, announces Jim Pittas will assume the role of president and CEO of PMMI effective Feb. 1. Pittas succeeds Chuck Yuska, who is retiring after 27 years at the helm.

“I can’t say enough about the leadership blueprint working alongside Chuck provided me over the past 18 years,” Pittas says. “It is impossible to measure what he has meant to PMMI, but I strive to build upon that legacy.”

Yuska will remain at PMMI in an advisory role through his official retirement in May. PMMI plans to celebrate him with a retirement party in March and will recognize his contributions at the association’s Executive Leadership Conference (April 28–May 1, 2018; Orlando).

Pittas became Chief Operating Officer in April 2017 after 17 years successfully managing PMMI’s number one member service, PACK EXPO trade shows.

Pittas will remain in PMMI’s Reston, Virginia headquarters.
