Pack Expo East shifts dates

PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, announces Pack Expo East 2015 will take place Feb. 16–18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

The new dates allow PMMI to better meet exhibitor demand, which has already exceeded expectations.

“We expected PACK EXPO East to generate a lot of excitement from exhibitors, but the demand has gone beyond what we hoped for,” says Jim Pittas, vice president of trade shows, PMMI. “With the show just under a year away, it’s already 40 percent bigger than our original projections. The new dates give us the flexibility to open up more space for exhibitors. Ultimately, the attendees will benefit from having greater access to the technologies they need.”

Pack Expo East has 250 exhibitors signed up to display the latest packaging and processing innovations over 70,000 square feet of exhibit space. PMMI estimates Pack Expo East will debut with more than 400 companies exhibiting over 100,000 net square feet next year.

“We’re very excited by the interest exhibitors are showing, and it’s clear that the innovative packaging and processing solutions we’ll see in Philadelphia next year will open up a wealth of possibilities to packaging and processing professionals on the East Coast,” Pittas added.

PMMI announced Pack Expo East last year and space sales for the inaugural edition began in January 2014. The decision to create an East Coast show stemmed largely from data generated by a “Voice of the Attendee” survey of Pack Expo visitors, conducted for PMMI.
