Everyone, my name is Silas Neale. I'm a regional sales manager at Teradyne Robotics. We're here at PACK EXPO, and today I'm gonna talk about the Gen7 platform that is brand new for us. This is an ecosystem that is built from the ground up, and it is enabling physical AI, enabling manufacturers, and it's intended for anyone from first-time users who have never touched a robot to experienced robotics integrators and manufacturers.
The Gen7 platform consists of a brand-new controller here. It's thirty percent smaller than previous generations and forty percent faster compute. We have brand-new cabling architecture on the controller, lots of onboard communication. We also have a brand-new teach pendant that is significantly lighter, far more org- ergonomic, high definition.
And ultimately, the robot is our G-series of robot. It's a brand-new platform for us that we're very excited about. And what we're showing today is a Cognex 2D vision system and a Cognex 3D vision system doing some inspections. You can see the results behind us here on the screen And what this does is it really shows our new software platform, our hardware platform, all of the communications working effortlessly together and enabling all of those edge AI cases.
A new feature that I would like to pause and show you, if I move to the robot, is that we have a brand-new tool flange On the end of this tool, I have a free drive button that allows our manufacturers to work at the actual tool and at the workpiece. We also have onboard communication, safety, and power all built in.
