European Packaging Machinery (Tennent, NJ) introduces the VC-25 vacuum monitoring system to verify the integrity of aluminum or tinplate lids at speeds to 1ꯠ/min.

The scanning sensor identifies deviations in lid indentation as small as 0.3 mm. Flawed units can be optically or acoustically registered, as well as removed from the line via a rejection device. The unit can be modified to inspect vacuum-sealed trays.
