Versatile DOD controller

Matthews Marking has introduced the latest addition to its DOD ink-jet printing controller family, the I-Mark™ V84.

Pw 7316 E Matthews

Suitable for printing 4 or 5 lines of text, graphics/logos, and bar codes for packaging and industrial applications, the new V84 controller features an easy-to-use 10.4 in. color touchscreen interface. Unit can drive either standard printheads or Matthews’ new low-ink-consumption, high-resolution 8000 Series DOD printheads, which last 5 times longer than other DOD printheads. Instead of global settings, the unit allows for independent control of as many as 4 DOD printheads for maximum flexibility. Icon-based navigation and WYSIWYG format simplify message setup and changes. Most printer functions are completed in 1 min or less, saving time and money. Maximum print speed is 680’/min and characters can range from 3/32” to 5”H, depending on printheads used. V84 uses fast-dry, pigmented, dye, and water-based inks in a range of colors to print on porous and nonporous surfaces.
