Seaquist Closures (Mukwonago, WI) has developed a child-resistant closure that is also a dispenser. For OTC pharmaceutical products, this closure is said to exceed re-cent requirements for child safety and senior accessibility set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Uses a positive locking tab that is depressed by a user's index finger while the lid is lifted with the thumb and second finger. To close, the tab slips into place with an audible snap that signals that the lid is sealed. Makes use of the company's Butterfly Snap Top® hinge.
