All ACW C-R packaging solutions are 100% made in the USA with materials that have been fully tested and certified, meeting or exceeding all standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines.
Consumer safety is a top priority at ACW which led to a substantial investment in certified child-resistant packaging. All ACW child-resistant pouches meet the requirements of the Poison Prevention Act of 1970. ACW child-resistant pouches are also ASTM D3475 classified, which certifies the packaging is significantly difficult for children under the age of 5 years to open, but must not be difficult for adults to open. All testing was carried out according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines (CPSC 16 CFR Section 1700.20) by Child Related Research in Murray, Utah.
PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO (Sept. 27-29, Las Vegas Convention Center) will reunite the packaging and processing community, offering new products, technologies and solutions, while implementing up-to-date protocols for a safe and successful in-person event. Attendee registration is now open.
ACW's lab certified child-resistant packaging is 100% made in the USA, so it’s critically important that all materials are sourced domestically. ACW obtained a “Range” certification by testing multiple sizes of packages with a common zipper. This allows ACW to produce various custom-sized pouches while staying compliant.
“Typically, the certification process alone adds four to six weeks to production time,” said Scott Myers, Chief Executive Officer. ”By using ACW certified structures, you can avoid the additional time it takes to ensure your pouches are compliant through a third party lab.”
