More than 600 companies will display their packaging machines, materials, and services at Expo Pack Mexico 2001 at the Sports Palace in Mexico City. Held Tuesday, June 26 through Friday, June 29, the show is organized and produced by Oprex (Mexico City, Mexico) and the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (Arlington, VA). They expect the show, which is co-located with Procesa, the food and beverage processing machinery and equipment show, to draw more than 25ꯠ visitors. Show hours are 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. June 26 through June 28 and 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the last day, June 29.

Featured once again will be a PMMI Pavilion, occupied by 54 PMMI members (a list of these exhibitors follows).

During the show, PMMI will be sponsoring Soluciones 2001 Mexico, a three-day conference series with a special emphasis each day. Wednesday is food, Thursday beverages, and Friday pharmaceutical and personal care products.

Topics covered during the three-day program include integration of packaging lines, selecting and purchasing packaging machinery, packaging processed and frozen foods, detection technology, extended shelf life for beverages, pharmaceutical labeling, palletizing alternatives, and increasing the efficiency of the packaging line.
